Loft Bed with a Slide
This customer wanted to have a end platform and a slide on the end of the bed. Kids love climbing and it makes for great exercise. We added Pipe Ladders and Grab Handles to all the entrances. The customer also requested a second entrance with a gate and latch at the opposite end to make it easier to make the bed. Fort Playhouse Clubhouse Treehouse Custom Loft and Bunk Beds Over the years we have had many customers send us ideas for Custom Loft and Bunk Beds for their children. Whether they call them a Fort, Den, Playhouse, Clubhouse or a Treehouse Bed, they are all fun and unique beds designed around your child's interests. In some cases the underneath area is designed for sleeping and the top for a play area or vice versa. For younger children start with the mattress on the bottom and make the top the Fort Play Area and when they get older move the mattress to the top and add to the underneath area a desk, craft table or just make it into a reading and studying area. Fort Loft Bed. This customer requested an enclosed loft bed for her child. The child sleeps on top and the bottom is enclosed with a door and window opening. Inside you may place a desk, shelving or your favorite bean bag chair for reading and studying. This may be painted or stained and decorated into a pirate, camp or any theme.

Daybeds are popular in kid’s bedrooms and small apartments where it can do double duty as a sofa and a bed.
A Daybed may be used for sitting and lounging as well as sleeping. Our Daybed is made from solid wood for a Twin or Twin-XL size mattress (not included) and includes the Solid Platform Mattress Foundation. We assume you will be using a maximum 6" thick mattress. We can also custom build it to any size and mattress thickness. Beds are Ready-To-Assemble, unfinished, hand sanded and ready for finishing by the customer.

Making the most of your small space. Living in any closet sized room in New York City or any large city is always a challenge. Pipe Ladder. Kids love climbing and it makes for great exercise. We offer pipe ladders that can be attached to the rungs of the beds. They can be used on any bed, are made from 1/2" galvanized pipe. They can't be used with the Angled Ladders. They can be ordered in sets of (4) four or (5) five depending on the height of your bed.

Twin loft bed attached to the wall. This customer wanted a bed attached to a wall in the corner. This is a twin size, with a plywood platform, angled end ladder and a double bookshelf headboard. We made the bed a little wider to allow the child to place stuffed animals on either side of the mattress.

How in the world do you create more space in a kid's bedroom that is only 11x12? My daughter's room is small, and I had a queen size bed in there. There was no room for anything else. A twin bed is one way to go, or a daybed, but it still didn't allow space for a desk and play area. I needed to figure out a way to make the room functional for a 10 year old creative girl who wanted her own place to work quietly at a desk, have friends over, and still have some space to dance and run around should the mood strike.
I tried going the twin sized daybed route and the room still felt like it would be too crowded, so I researched loft beds. The thought was that maybe I could find something that would allow a desk and play area underneath, go with the farmhouse white painted theme I wanted for my house, and be very safe and sturdy. Easier said than done. The ones I found online were either extremely expensive or very cheap. Or ugly. And no furniture store around here had anything close to what I wanted. I also needed something customized a bit because our older home has low ceilings.
This is where I ended up ordering our loft bed from College Bed Lofts. I'm not being compensated for mentioning them, I'm truly so pleased with our purchase I just had to share in case anyone else is searching for a similar item. I wish I had thought to take photos of the entire process, although they supply videos and great instructions so that anyone with basic knowledge of hand tools and putting things together can do it.
This thing is so sturdy, with 1,000 lbs weight capacity! Yes, I totally get up there sometimes and not just to change the sheets. This bed has the following options: full length desk, full length shelf and slanted ladder on the end. I also asked to have it made a few inches shorter because of our ceiling height and they made it just perfect. Couldn't be happier with this purchase! Everyone who comes over and sees her room wants the bed for themselves. It fits a full size mattress, and has plenty of work space for my sweetie pie, and with the comfy desk chair, she hardly ever comes out of her room! College Bed Lofts was quick to implement their Canvas Gadget model that features one of their custom-made loft beds. Their customers can now view this bed from every angle, counting the support slats under the mattress, noting the shelving detail on both sides of the bed, and seeing the direction of the wood grain on the desk. Customers can also see how the back of the bed is constructed, something that most photographs wouldn't have been able to demonstrate. With the ability to zoom in and out, you can really get a feel for the amazing features of this stunning loft bed!

Rick: Our kids had outgrown the bunks we purchased when they were very small, so I looked for something more solid and that could also be customized for height. We ordered online from College Bed Lofts, and I was able to set the bunk platforms at unusually low heights, giving both the top and bottom sleepers much more headroom. Note: It is VERY hard to find this customization ability anywhere else.
We had the bunks delivered to a cabin, which required some timing sync with the shipment. Don at CBL was super helpful in making this happen, including working with us when FedEx messed up the delivery date. He was extremely responsive.
None of this matters if the bunks aren't well-built. They are. I was pleasantly surprised at how solid these are. An adult can easily climb up there without any creaking or swaying. These things are built to last and built to carry weight. They are also surprisingly easy to put together, much easier than the previous beds we had.
Overall, this was a top notch experience. Major ability to customize, flexible and responsive customer service, and very high quality beds -- at a reasonable price. I had shopped around for every other pre-designed option and there is no comparison; these are excellent. Can't praise CBL enough!
