P:D1 - We customized these bunk beds for a customer's 16" thick mattress. We lowered the bottom mattress as close to the floor as possible to give them more space between the bunks. The first photo is our standard bunk bed with the youth safety rails, headboard shelf and vertical end ladder. The second photo is our bunk bed with open ends, youth safety rails, corner & rung bracing and the vertical end ladder. The customer did a great job finishing the beds.
From the customer: "We love the beds, we've been raving about you guys!" Thanks, Fabia.

P:D2A - The first full size bed has the youth safety rails, double bookshelf and solid headboard, angled front ladder, pipe handles and the short desk mounted on the outside of the bed. The second full size bed has the same accessories except they mounted the short desk underneath the bed.
The customer did a great job finishing the beds.
P:D2B - This customer requested a wall-of-shelves for the headboard end.
From the customer: "It turned out gorgeous! The wood grain shows so much better than I had anticipated. I couldn’t get a great angle for a photo of the bookshelf because
the face of it is only three feet from the opposing wall. Overall, we couldn’t have dreamed of a
better experience than we’ve had with your company! Honestly, the whole idea of special ordering a loft bed with desk underneath and attached bookshelf was something I
wouldn’t have ever thought possible, especially not within the budget of a normal family. Once I found your company, ordering it online, not having seen your shop or the
bed in person, was a bit scary! Talking to you on the phone allayed my fears. And now we have the perfect loft bed for our son that he will easily be able to use all the
way from now through college. Perfect experience all around! Thanks, Angela."
P:D4 - Loft bed for a girl's bedroom. Seaside Farmhouse Blog.
How in the world do you create more space in a kid's bedroom that is only 11x12? My daughter's room is small, and I had a queen size bed in there. There was no room for anything else. A twin bed is one way to go, or a daybed, but it still didn't allow space for a desk and play area. I needed to figure out a way to make the room functional for a 10 year old creative girl who wanted her own place to work quietly at a desk, have friends over, and still have some space to dance and run around should the mood strike.
I tried going the twin sized daybed route and the room still felt like it would be too crowded, so I researched loft beds. The thought was that maybe I could find something that would allow a desk and play area underneath, go with the farmhouse white painted theme I wanted for my house, and be very safe and sturdy. Easier said than done. The ones I found online were either extremely expensive or very cheap. Or ugly. And no furniture store around here had anything close to what I wanted. I also needed something customized a bit because our older home has low ceilings.
This is where I ended up ordering our loft bed from College Bed Lofts. I'm not being compensated for mentioning them, I'm truly so pleased with our purchase I just had to share in case anyone else is searching for a similar item. I wish I had thought to take photos of the entire process, although they supply videos and great instructions so that anyone with basic knowledge of hand tools and putting things together can do it.
This thing is so sturdy, with 1,000 lbs. weight capacity! Yes, I totally get up there sometimes and not just to change the sheets. This bed has the following options: full length desk, full length shelf and slanted ladder on the end. I also asked to have it made a few inches shorter because of our ceiling height and they made it just perfect. Couldn't be happier with this purchase! Everyone who comes over and sees her room wants the bed for themselves. It fits a full size mattress, and has plenty of work space for my sweetie pie, and with the comfy desk chair, she hardly ever comes out of her room! I'm happy with the way it looks as well- not too 'finished' but rugged and timeless because it is real wood. If you're looking for a loft bed, check out College Bed Lofts. When you are comparing quality and price I think this is the best place to go!
P:D6 - Custom Bunk Bed for a vacation home.
I wanted to thank you so much for all your help as you made the ordering process so easy. You and your team did an amazing job and the custom bunk bed is perfect in our vacation home! It is only a 2 bedroom so maximizing space was very important and the custom bunk was a perfect solution. I have already recommended your company to our neighbor as he plans to update his bunk room soon. I look forward to purchasing another in the near future as I think an identical bunk would definitely work in the room. I have attached pics of the bed assembled. We have decided not to paint it right now. We really like the light wood as it gives the room a nice "beachy" vibe! Thank you again. Best, Lisa.
P:D7 - Cool teen hang out space.
Teens today have a lot of stuff to store in their room. Raising the bed up off the floor will give your teen more usable space in their bedroom. With lots of shelving and a large desk for a laptop computer will give your child more storage and open space for reading, homework and studying. Older children may prefer to use their bedroom to study or spend time with their friends. A loft bed with a bean bag chair or study desk underneath the bed would be the ideal combination for a cool teen's room.
P:D9 - High-Rise / Mid-Height Loft Bed.
We built this customer a custom size loft bed to go around their existing dresser. The customer did an excellent job finishing the bed to match their existing dresser. From the customer: "Just wanted to send you a picture of the finished product! The kids love it! It turned out amazing. I ordered some cork board strips and a dry erase boards and attached those to the bed so the kids stop taping stuff to the walls. We also painted the bed to match the dresser." Thank you! Jenn
P:D10 - Custom bunk bed, low platform bed and wrap around bench.
From the customer: "Just want to say "thanks" for your great help in customizing our new bunkroom! As you'll recall we changed a small Colorado ski bedroom (slept 2) into a great Colorado ski bunkroom (now sleeps 5, plus storage). The custom bench you all fabricated that is on the right side of the room looks like it should have always been there as it wraps around the room and connects everything together. It looks great with the "all around" drawers underneath that are under the bunk bed on the left, the platform bed in the back, and bench ensemble on the right. Again, thanks so much! We look forward to a great ski season! Jo."
