We also custom build beds that may be attached to one, two or three walls. To order this bed we need to know the following information:
mattress size & thickness, ceiling height, how much space do you want above and underneath, is this bed being attached to one, two or three walls,
what is the length of the wall this is being attached to, what is the size of the platform you need,
is the overall platform size just to fit the mattress or larger and
what state is this being delivered to. The walls must have wood studs, they can not be attached to metal studs.
The bed frame is attached to the walls with 3/8" x 4-1/2" Lag Bolts (provided) that are screwed into the wall studs. Since we don’t know
where your wall studs are located we do not pre-drill pilot holes into the bed frame. You need to locate the exact center of
the wall studs and drill holes into the bed frame with a 3/8” drill bit and a 1/4” drill bit into the wall stud. We do not privide the drill bits. Typically there is a
wall stud every 16” on-center. Depending on your frame size, we may also provide you with an additional 2x6 Wall Support Header that goes under the existing bed frame Header.
This is used to get more lag screw support at the end of the bed.
To make sure there are no obstacles for attaching the bed to the walls, we will also need a picture of the walls where the bed is being attached,
please email that to info@collegebedlofts.com.

W:2 - Wall-To-Wall Bed. This custom bed is sized to fit the exact wall length and does not have any legs (corner posts).
The bed is screwed into the wall studs every 16” with lag screws on three sides.
At the short ends we have extra boards to support the ends. We double sized all the main support beams to give it the strength needed so it will not need a center support leg.
It has a removable Angled Front Ladder on the left which wasn't attached for this picture.
From the Customer: "Originally this room was a two person home office. As two families came together, this needed to do double duty as a home office and a bedroom for two visiting teens.
Using the loft bed, we were able to maximize the square footage to accommodate two twin beds, a desk, and a reading nook. It was important that the room appealed to the two young teens,
so we aimed for an urban tree house theme complete with pop rock posters of their choosing. The room is really functional and it is nice to work in. The kids seem to enjoy it very much".

W:3 - Loft Bed over an existing Murphy Bed. This customer has a small bedroom with slanted ceilings and an existing Murphy Bed built into the wall.
They needed a loft bed built over the Murphy Bed supported by the wall at the back and one end. It has a heavy duty leg (corner post) that includes the ladder and supports
most of the weight of the bed. The customer installed and painted it to match the Murphy Bed.

W:4 - Long bed attached to the wall for sleep & play. We built this customer a super long bed attached to the walls on 2 sides. It has extra safety rails and an angled ladder. Due to the length it needed a post
near the middle of the bed to support the weight above.
From the customer: "Here is a picture of the loft, we love it, it turned out perfect. Let me know if you need more pictures. Just wanted to get something to you quickly. Can also "clean up" the room a bit if needed :-).
Zane has slept up there already and loves it!!! Thanks again!".

From the customer: "We are not done organizing the room, but we wanted to get you pics right away. The room is small, so it's tough to get a full pic of the bed.
Feel free to use these on your website, and I'm happy to give you a testimonial or act as a reference. Thanks!
Our daughter is ecstatic."
